A Star, Style, Designer Consortium Day Kicking off L.A. Fashion Month In October SPRING/SUMMER 2014

On Friday, October 4th, 2013, the Driven By Design producing team consisting of Alumni from the Fashion Institute of Fashion Design & Merchandising (FIDM), will host an ULTRA GLAM design consortium experience, set to kick off this years Los Angeles fashion month of runway shows. The couture designer runway presentations, intertwined with emerging designer installations will be an amazing experience for all fans of style to get excited about this fall. The star style venue spotlight will be set at the L.A. Mart for the design communities to embrace. Location 1933 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90007. Start time 3pm – 9pm.

Lori A. Neal, Principal ofDiamond Interiors LA will create the signature “Eye Candy” venue layout for the fashion runway, designer lounges and the overall ultimate atmosphere where the media, celebrity talent, buyers and corporate executives will come together for this years new fashion experience in Los Angeles this fall. Interior Designers working with Lori A. Our Driven By Design runway show will open up with SONY Music artist Malina Moye. She is a pioneer among the new generation of lead guitarists, Malina is the first left-handed female player to be included on the legendary Fender Guitars impressive roster of endorsees and to also join the critically acclaimed 2012 Experience Hendrix tour. Furthermore, the songstress was featured in the UK documentary “Stratmaster: The Greatest Guitar Story Ever Told,” and Guitar World Magazine dubbed her the “female Jimi Hendrix” and one of the top 10 female guitarists to know.” Malina has just completed her new record ROCK N ROLL BABY with the first single K-yotic featuring Bootsy Collins, released this July, distributed by Red Distribution, a division on SONY Music Entertainment. Our star style fashion designers taking center stage on the runway are THAI NGUYEN (Tie-Win), Fashion Designer/Stylist. Thai graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in 2002. Following graduation, he earned the title of associate designer for BCBG Max Azria, which he held through 2004. Known for his convertible evening gown creations on the TV show, Thai was a finalist on Bravos Launch My Line. Thai was also a fashion designer/contributor on RuPauls Drag Race Season 2 and is currently working with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Adrienne Maloof and Brandi Glanville. Los Angeles based fashion designerBrian “BK” Phillips draws inspiration from life’s adventures. His 2014 Spring Summer collection is in full effect on the runway this season. A new addition, added to the runway mix is the Dena BurtonCollection. Dena shares that her Spring/Summer 2014 collection is sexy, smart and carefree. It’s all about the trendsetter experience.
