Braids by The Blow
I'm going to keep this one short, as I know some of you will have already seen these shots on Instagram/Twitter. I thought I'd get this post up though as I do think I'm officially an up-do convert. I never really wear my hair up other than on days when it looks like crap, so this is a complete novelty. My ears did feel a little naked but I am now obsessed with this kind of romantic braid thing. I love all those wispy bits & baby hairs that make it more relaxed looking. They're usually the bits I'm trying to frantically tuck away but I think from now on I'll just embrace them.
I've tried doing a few braids like this since The Blow did this do for me and once you get into it it is actually quite therapeutic. Obviously my result is no where near this swish - I can just about manage the braid at the front with the rest shoved in a ponytail, but it's definitely something I'm going to keep practising. YouTube tutorials on this sort of thing are my new best friend!
