Rouge Bunny Rouge: Nocturnal Ink

In terms of eyeliner you can count on my best stubborn, 4-year-old child, stomping-on-the-ground performance: There's nothing like a precise, intense liquid eyeliner. And it's just as if Rouge Bunny Rouge had secretly eavesdropped on my door because how could they've possibly known that I just ran out of my favourite eyeliner that - of course - has been discontinued recently? I'm even pickier with eyeliners than foundations, I have to be 100% sure that it'll stay put all day long and perform with such intensity and colour brightness that its puts the moon and stars to shame. Thank god for the new Nocturnal Ink Satin Eyeliner range that has just launched yesterday.

I could leave it to the brand's official, poetic description of the line that comes in three different colours, but let me assure you that these are fool-proof, non-staining, easy to work with thanks to the sleek pen-like handle and soft tip. I usually use liquid brush eyeliners because most of the pen eyeliners are way too stiff for my shaky hands, but the Nocturnal Inks perfectly adjust to the pressure of my hand and leave a clean mark behind.

At 27.00€ a piece they're not considered a steal, but for all you party animals out there, let me tell you this: After swatching Friesian (chasm black), Blue Roan (petrol blue) and Dark Bay (ebony brown) on my arm I was too lazy to remove them because I had already swatched a couple other goodies that day and my arm had already shown signs of exhaustion in the form of red patches. I just can't seem to find a proper make-up remover sensitive skin like mine. The next day, despite taking a 30-minute shower, the swatches still looked as if I had just freshly painted them on. Same goes for the next day until I decided it was time to take them off, which was surprisingly easy and didn't require much rubbing, if at all. These are perfect for fun swims, wild, sweaty parties and of course the situations where we just don't want to think about the lasting power of our make-up because we have better things to do: job interviews.

Dear Rouge Bunny Rouge, once again you did a great job and I personally would love to see more colour additions to the range, like, an oxblood red or an intense enchanted forest green. I've been on the hunt for a lush red eyeliner for quite a while now and am pretty sure you'd know how to work it!
