During our time in Las Vegas we loved the strip, but it can easily become overwhelming. When visiting Vegas we recommend taking sometime away from the craziness and spend a day or two exploring off the strip.
Here are 10 things you must do off the strip in Vegas.
Explore the history of Vegas and marvel at retired legendary signs, many from old businesses and casinos displayed on over 6 acres. Tours are offered daily, priced at $18. We recommend taking an evening tour when the museum lights up.

Named one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th Century, Hoover Dam is definitely worth a visit. For $30 you can take a tour of the dam, allowing you to explore lesser known areas and learn how the dam works.

You need to spend a night exploring Fremont Street located in Downtown Vegas. One of the attractions there is the Fremont Experience where they have a lit canopy overhead with nightly light shows, made up of 12.5 million lights! There are also 3 stages with free performances held each night.

For those who love to shop, you need to spend a day at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. With 175 outlet stores and sales all year round, this place is a shoppers dream.
875 South Grand Central Parkway
There are a bunch of day tours that will take you out to explore the Grand Canyon for the day. From pink jeep tours, helicopter tours, to ones that will take you out onto the skywalk – you need to spend a day visiting the grandest of canyons.

If you are wanting to explore Nevada’s desert you need to go on a dune buddy adventure! There are a ton of companies that provide desert dune buggy tours, from sunrise tours to evening rides.
Over 200 vintage pinball machines in perfect playing condition can be found at The Pinball Hall of Fame. And yes you can play on all of the old school pinball machines!

Nevada is home to about 300 hot springs, many of which are just a brief drive away from Las Vegas. Some popular springs to visit are Ash Springs, Hot Creek Springs, and Roger’s Springs.
