The 2015 Tournament of Cookbooks -- Day 8

Welcome to The Piglet! Catch up on the full list of books and judges, score your own copies in the shop, and print out a bracket to follow along. Round 1 of The Piglet is brought to you by our friends at Squarespace.

Today: It's the final day of Round 1! Head here for a refresher course on our cookbook tournament, and then read on for the decision. Be sure to comment there for a chance to get a copy of the winning book!

It's a showdown between two Food52 favorites today: Alice Medrich's Flavor Flours and Dorie Greenspan's Baking Chez Moi. Between the rogue baker and the cookie queen, which way will New York Times columnist Rosie Schaap's favor swing? Read her final verdict here, and let us know what you think in the comments section -- one lucky commenter will have a chance to win a copy of the prevailing book.

Cook the books: In this case, we're baking the books -- Parisian Macarons from Baking Chez Moi and Pecan-Flour Oat Crusted Genoise from Flavor Flours. Both use nut flours for robust flavor, and both also just happen to be gluten-free. Start baking and tell us what you think!
