It Isn't a Piglet Party Without Sausage

Sausage is versatile: You can boil it, fry it, wrap it around or in things, or just eat it on its own. Sausage can be dressed up or down. Batter it up for a trip to the fair, toss it into a tart for a classy dinner, or add it to a hearty gravy for a proper Southern morning. It comforts you in stews, and adds a little oomph to your side dishes.

That might have been a little too much personification for this humble little guy who's been around since Homer. It's probably turning a little red right now, so we better wrap up the roast before it explodes in embarrassment.

To celebrate that our Piglet Tournament of Cookbooks is finally here, here are 10 recipes that appreciate the heroic sausage in all its forms, shapes, and sizes.
