The Budget Find.

As someone who loves big lashes, I never thought my number one mascara would be a drugstore buy! I’ve spoken many times about how great the Miss Manga mascara is, but I thought I would roundup and review some of the other versions too…

L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara (£7.99); This is the original version, and the one I tried first. I think I’ve been through about three tubes of this now, and I have to admit I do occasionally stray, being a blogger and all. Saying that, I’m usually back buying another tube within a week or so – yup, it’s that good. Everything from the way it separates and defines each and every lash, to the staying power, makes this mascara amazing! I very occasionally get a bit of smudging on my brow bone but it’s nothing a bit of primer can’t fix.
The brush is great, it really grabs the hair and curls it upwards – I think it’s the mix of the amazing formula and brilliant brush that sets this apart from the rest.

L’Oreal Miss Manga Black Angel Mascara (£8.99); This is basically just a blacker version of the original, I don’t think there’s much difference between them. It’s a whole one pound more expensive than the original, so I would stick to the Miss Manga as it’s still blacker than black. As far as I can tell the brush and the results are the same as the above. Ain’t no way I’m coughin’ up £1 more… (joking, kinda).

L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara (£8.99); I picked this new addition up recently and I don’t think I’m feeling it. This has a rubber, spiky brush – you know the ones that you accidentally get in your eye sometimes and start planning your funeral? That’s the one – and so this creates a more ‘textured’ look to your lashes, spacing them out and creating big black spikes. I still prefer the original if I’m honest, but I do still see great results with this. It’s probably a better evening one, as the result is a little more ‘rock chick’.

Honestly, all three mascaras are pretty bloomin’ brilliant, but I do think the original is the one to pick up. It’s been a long time favourite of mine for some time, and I always get a tonne of compliments on my long lashes whenever I slick it on. It’s the kind of mascara you can build up for a good few minutes to get ultra long lashes – I do this a lot for nights out and it makes all the difference!

Have you tried anything from the Miss Manga line?
