My Beauty Toolkit.

It’s been a while since I rounded up my essential tools for beauty application, which is silly really – since they tend to outlast even my most favourite of products. Let’s delve in…

Makeup
I own a LOT of brushes, seriously – a lot. There’s no point going through them all once again, especially as I’ve already done that here, so I picked a few of my must haves instead. First up, the MAC 217 Brush (£19) – I think this is probably a cult eyeshadow brush by now! If you haven’t already got one in your stash, I command you to treat yo’ self. This is super fluffy, capable of picking up just the right amount of product and brilliant for blending. I use it for applying my lid colour and it never lets me down.
Another eyeshadow brush I always have on hand is the Laura Mercier Smudge Brush (£20.50), this has short stumpy bristles that allow you to get right in to the lashes for some serious smudge-y action. I always smudge shadow in to my bottom lashes and this little lovely makes application a dream.
My last mention has to go to the Liz Earle Brow & Eyeliner Brush (£12.50) – one of the most amazing eyebrow tools ever made. If you want perfectly defined brows, pick up this wonder-worker. It’s thinner and more flexible than your average slanted brush, and you can really get the most incredible shape to your brows, and of course the spoolie makes for a really natural but perfectly shaped result too.

Hair
I was about to say I don’t really a whole lot of tools when it comes to my hair, but I do actually own a number of hair brushes. I’ll keep it simple and say my main tools include the T3 Featherweight 2i Hair Dryer (£195), this is a dream to use for blowdrying hair, and it comes with one of the best styling brushes I’ve ever tried. It dries the hair quickly and leaves it feeling super light, incredibly silky and full of body and volume. Winning stuff, folks.
I also really rate the Wet Brush (£11.99) for its no-fuss detangling ways, and a good backcombing brush for ensuring those updos stay in place. I have the Denman Dressing Out Brush (£4.29) and it’s pretty great!
Also on my list are a whole load of kirby grips, bobby pins or whatever you call them in your home country. I buy packs and packs of these and after a week of owning a new pack, I am going round searching the floor for them – how do they get lost so easily? The perks of having white floors though, they show up easily. I also really like the Invisibobble Hair Rings (£3.75) as they don’t leave kinks and are easy to remove from the hair. Great if you have extremely tangly hair like myself.

Etc.
Of course, my much loved Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers (£20) made the list – I can’t get enough of these, they’re the best curlers ever! I always mention them on here so I won’t go overboard, but just know they are EVERYTHING.
I also adore my Tweezerman Mini Slanted Tweezers (£12.50), adorable, practical, super sharp and capable of getting my lost kirby grips out from between my floorboards. Not really. Okay sorta. I also recommend picking up a nail dotting tool (Bourjois have a great one) if you love nail art, this will save so much time and it’s super easy to get the hang of.

I think that’s pretty much it when it comes to the essentials, what do you have in your toolkit?
