Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso and Berry Amore, Review with Swatches

Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso and Berry Amore 0.12 oz/3.5 g $7.99-$10
Blush was once such an absent item in my makeup routine because of the natural flush my cheeks already have going on. That is, until I learnt to apply foundation to completely cover my hyper pigmentation, while still keeping my face looking quite natural. Maybe an updated foundation routine is in order? Considering how low maintenance this one is, I think it is certainly something to consider. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing that. But back to the topic of these beautiful Milani blush's...

I had heard of their wonders, but didn't give them a try until picking up "Berry Amore" sometime last year. I then finally got my hands on "Luminoso" more recently after seeking it out for months at the drugstore, only to find it had sold out time and time again.
What can I tell you? These blushes will even make the non blush wearers grin! And now that I am the proud owner of two of these gorgeous beauty powders, a review is certainly in order!

What Milani says about them: "This silky blush with benefits can be used in so many ways. It shapes, it contours, it highlights. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, it's buildable from sheer to vibrant. Yes, it adds a cheeky pop of color to your complexion. Radiance and warmth too."
Keep reading to find out why these blushes are now top ranked for me amongst many of their kind available at the drugstore!

Color Payoff: The pigmentation on these blushes is truly magnificent. You can get just the right amount of radiant glow with one swipe of your brush. Even better, they are slightly sheer, so you will never find you've gone overboard. To me, they are the perfect mix between a blush and highlight power. Although I still choose to layer my own highlight powder over these for special occasions, these blushes can definitely do double duty on those quick low maintenance makeup days.
Formulation: Super soft and oh so blend-able, I love how buttery these feel when you swipe a finger through them.

Packaging: I really appreciate the gold packaging on these since it gives these blushes a little something different then products with your typical black makeup packaging. It also has them looking a bit more expensive then they actually are and that is always a good thing. The clear, see-through lid allows you to ascertain exactly what shade each one is when shopping for one or choosing one from your collection to wear. Better then all of that, the managed to sneak a little mirror in underneath the blush for an easy on the go application. I do think the little compartment complete with tiny brush was an unnecessary addition though since I always throw those brushes out and didn't find this one to be all that great as usual.

Price: As with many drugstore products, the price tag is low and for this kind of fabulous quality, I would say these blushes are quite the steal at as low as $7 in many places.
Lasting Power: These aren't the most long lasting of blushes. When worn with a full coverage foundation and a setting spray over top, I can get a good 4-6 hours at most. Re-application is made easy with that nifty packaging though.
Recommended Skin Types: I would recommend these for all skin types. If you are oily in skin type, you may want to apply these with a slightly lighter hand, regardless, I honestly believe these would probably suit just about anyone.

Scent: I haven't noticed one at all with these, which is good because it is too often I find drugstore blushes with that overly flowery scent that is far too overpowering and not particularly enhancing!
Photo Friendly? Absolutely. I feel that these blushes look as good as they do in person, on camera. You don't end up looking shiny or overly rosy. It just gives your cheeks a bit of color and glow in photos, just as it does in person.
Variety? There are 9 different shades available in the line and they vary from the berries to pinks and even bolder reds and those coral - orange sort of colors. The only shades I feel are sort of missing from the line up would have to be the muaves, which would have been great in a line like this.

Overall:

If you were looking for a matte blush these are definitely not going to be the ones for you, because while they aren't glittery or overly shimmery, they are definitely not matte and lean to the side of sheer build-able color with some glow. I personally love the soft, blendable texture on these and also really like how they apply to my skin.
The only downside I can find with these would have to be the lasting power which isn't all that great, I also am not the biggest fan of the little compartment with extra disposable mini brush.
I am favoring "Luminoso" at the moment because of it's soft peach tones but both colors are gorgeous! If you didn't catch my drift, I would highly recommend these, as in go to the drugstore now because your collection cannot be without! Now after that whole love rant, which shade should I pick up next?!

Have you given any of these Milani blush's a try? If you have, which has been your favorite shade? If not, do you want to? Let me know in the comments form below, I love getting your feedbacks!
Thanks so much for stopping in!
