Bombs Away
New York has got so cold in the last couple of days it’s unbelievable. That’s why I decided to wear this military-style outfit with a pair of CAT high boots which will accompany you in each and every one of your “daily battles”…mine as you already probably figured, is against the cold! I added to the look a few accessories from Article22, a Brooklyn-based brand that designs jewelry collections out of recycled Vietnam War bombs. Also, each piece of ARTICLE22 jewelry purchased clears some of the bomb-littered land and the brand also donates an extra 10% of total profits to the local village.
Yes, you read well, they literally make fashionable accessories out of scrap metal from war items. How cool is that?
É quasi inconcepibile il gelo che ha invaso la cittá in questi ultimi due giorni…Ho deciso di combatterlo con una caldissma mantella di pelo, un paio di stivali da battaglia di CAT, perfetti per correre di quá e di lá alla ricerca del primo posto caldo dove rifuggiarsi! Ho aggiunto a questo look dai colori autunnali alcuni accessori firmati Article22, un brand tutto made in Brooklyn, che disegna e realizza pezzi utilizzando il metallo delle bombe della guerra in Vietnam.
Si, avete letto bene. Avreste mai pensato di poter reciclare materiali inutilizzati in guerra per creare acccessori di moda? A volte penso…. Only In New York!
