Kate doesn't call herself an author because she doesn't believe in labels. She believes that story is art - that it's sacred, and that it is and has always been a force that changes and shapes our world. That's why she writes, and that's why she creates videos (even co-produced an environmental film). She considers the world her home, and enjoys submerging in unique cultures nearly as much as she loves submerging in the ocean and riding the waves. She is the author of the young adult urban fantasy series The Blood Race, and is currently working on several new series's.
