LFW 2015: Catwalk to High Street Hair Trends

London Fashion Week is done and dusted (until September!) and what a great, inspiring bunch of styling we've seen. From make up trends we will be trying out, to hair styles that whilst may look a little too much for us mere mortals, have no doubt they'll be adapted to suit come Summer for our hair.
Overall, it was a relaxed affair, with an 'undone' finish - perfectly textured.
First up, it's that trend that just isn't going anywhere. Braids. Once again, all over the catwalk, but a much more simple, even childlike finish. Sacha Mascolo Tarbuck and the Toni & Guy team created punky schoolgirl French plaits complete with ribbon tie. And Paul Donovan and Chris Sweeney (both with Bumble and bumble) worked with Timur Kim, and Le Kit respectively to give us easy, textured three-strand braids.

Ponytails were also featured heavily, with James Pecis & Babyliss Pro and Halley Brisker, and Reijina Pyo with Bumble and bumble, all giving their take on the humble updo. Simple, loose and lengthy was the key. Easy to recreate and minimal styling - just grab some good thin hairbands.

Volume, with a mused, sexy finish was the brief for the updo's spotted on the PPQ, Teatum Jones and Paul Costelloe catwalks. My favourite has to be the towering, almost cloud -like style from Cos Sakkos, and the Toni & Guy team. Definitely held some secrets in that badboy! Also loved the 'accidental bun' from Leigh Keates & Cloud Nine for Emilio de la Morena, and one of my favourite stylists Indira Schauwecker with Toni & Guy for Apujan created gorgeous twisted buns with a hint of woodland fantasy thanks to the accessories used.

Finally, the parting. It was all about the deep-side part. It's such an instant way to change your look, and can completely alter your style. Anthony Turner & L'Oreal Professional styled the Peter Pilotto catwalk, and Sacha Mascolo Tarbuck with Toni & Guy left lengths slick and tucked behind the ear for Osman show, whilst Sam Burnett & KMS California created a gorgeous deep-side part with bandaged pony for Bora Aksu. I loved the deep-side part whether it was worn slick or roughed up a bit. It can also create a 'faux fringe' look so it's worth trying out if you are thinking of going for a bang snip.

And my favourite, favourite, I want that hair stylings from London Fashion Week. Antonio Corral Calero & the Moroccanoil team for Kristian Aadnevk. Described as the 'Wellington Wave' inspired by the collection, which itself was inspired by the Duke of Wellington and his wife. I LOVE the combination of straight lower lengths and waves at the top. It just looks so effortless yet feminine, and would suit any length. Definitely how I'll be wearing my hair.
