Review & Tutorial: Textured Waves with Babyliss Diamond Waves Wand

So, recently my favourite tongs ever broke on me. But, the Babyliss Diamond Waves Wand has officially come to the rescue. Sure it may look a little odd, but can it create waves of wonder. Yup. The Diamond range from Babyliss consists of three styling tools, a hairdryer, straightener and the wand. Paul Percy (from Percy & Reed, all round super stylist!) even says the straighteners are the best he's ever used! High praise indeed.
Back to the wand. The image used on the packaging shows glossy glamorous waves, which are what I'd go for, for a fancy night out. Usually though, my hair will be worn in textured waves, that look a little undone. With an adjustable temperature to tailor to suit, the great thing about the wand is that it can be used in a number of ways to create looks. From perfectly polished to a little grungier.

I went with 195 degrees (maximum is 210 degrees) and took my hair in six sections around the head to get my everyday casual look. It's as easy as that. The cool tip at the top of the wand helps you avoid the sizzled fingers and the diamond infused ceramic barrel really does help give your hair a shine. This is a great wand for those who get in from work, and get told to be ready in ten minutes thanks to the 40 second heat up once switched on. My only niggle, the auto shut off is 72 minutes. That's a long time to leave a hair tool on your carpet - and we've all had that panic! At £30, it's a great value styling tool, and easy to use.
I've popped a little YouTube tutorial up on how to get a great textured waves look. Hope you like it!
