Atlanta

Back to those October days... After Washington D.C. I took a train to Atlanta. And that was a long ride (though I didn't know what kind of a ride was still to come, from Houston to LA)! I sat on the train the whole night and arrived in Atlanta pretty early. Just to notice the station was in the middle of nowhere! Okay, not completely nowhere, but anything you could see around it were roads, roads and roads. If you don't have a car, what to do then? I had been a stupid procrastinator and hadn't written down my accommodation details. I had thought there might be a cafe with Wifi at the station but well, the place was a disappointment. Anyway, I had some luck that morning and came across an Australian girl who had the same problem with me. We shared a cab and went to a nice diner to eat some breakfast and use the internet. So, everything ended well! :)
Atlanta was a nice city. In advance I was a bit afraid I wouldn't like it, but I think that fear came because I didn't know if it was easy to get along without a car there. It totally was! I had a room outside the city center, but it was simple to go around by metro. I only had four days to spend in Atlanta, so I didn't see everything. But I visited the World of Coca-Cola and CNN Headquarters. Those both are a must when in Atlanta. For shopping, there is a Lenox mall that has huge a huge amount of stores in it. It is also easily reachable with metro. Atlanta may first seem like a grey and boring city, but once you get to know it better, it may surprise you! I also had an amazing host there, so I'm definitely going back someday.
