A Clean Slate / The New Resolutions (High Street Cardigans)

Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday. Happy New Year, Happy Easter and all that. Although I must confess, this New Year thing is my favorite. It`s like you suddenly have a psychological clean slate to start over and do better, stronger, faster. And it`s kinda comforting to know that it`s OK to start over. Yes, I think the New Year`s Starting Over is the only official way to start over.

You know, the rest of the time all that society is saying is`Whatttt? You`ve going to quit your job?~?~ But you are an engineer, what would you do? You can`t do anything else` - you`re familiar with this kind of affirmations, no? But not regarding the New Year Resolutions. They`re accepted by everyone and even our dear brain fucker called society approves.

Leaving this petite introspection aside:

I plan to stop putting this grumpy cat attitude even if this means people will become all sugary and licking the dust. Or maybe not, who knows? I`m gonna live dangerously and find out

Not gonna buy more stuff than the things which serve my purposes – no more `let`s buy it, who knows when it will prove helpful`

I`m gonna make more time for theaters, movies, tv series and all the things I like and were forgotten because of my hectic schedule

I`m gonna simplify my life to the maximum – yeah, I`m even gonna permanent wax my legs and all. Yes, I`ve done a research on the matter, it works and it`s not invasive for our bodies

I`m gonna stay focused and extra sparkly because it is still a year when I have to work a lot for my dream so I won`t take it easy, I`ll still be working hard but I plan to do it more relaxed

I`ve come to an age when I see things differently so I have some special projects which I want to make and be proud of

I`m gonna stop the glorification of busy – I`ll buy a few more organizers and I`ll be fine

And in this new year I plan to have fun with you all like we did every year. We`ll create together beautiful memories and moments of which we can be forever proud. Who knows, maybe we`ll reincarnate in a cockroach, let`s make this life unforgettable.
