10 months.

10 short and long months ago, we welcomed our sweet baby girl into our family. a lot has happened since then but she continues to light up all of our days with her belly laughs, squishy wrists, and sarcastic grins timely played when one of the other two kids are getting disciplined!

she’s a lifter of spirits, a quiet fighter, and an-all-around great little baby.

Hazel is about 2 days away from fully crawling and from making my life A LOT busier—hello baby gate lunges and sweeping floors 3.5 times an hour. we are excited about her continued progress, though, and love seeing how the Lord is continuing to heal her mind and body.

we got news after a recent MRI that there was no clear evidence that she had a stroke during the surgery (as originally thought). this is good news and the doctors continue to be amazed at her recovery.

last week, we had a bit of scare when i found her (after waking up from her nap) in a pool of vomit and acting very tired and limp. i immediately thought that she might have had a grand mal seizure and we were seeing the after effects of it. after talking to the neurologist, we decided to take her to the ER for a CAT scan to be sure nothing was going on at her surgery site. all the tests came back fine and we resolved that she must have just had a weird virus. she has seemed fine since so we are just praying that’s all it was indeed.
