Office Essentials: The Working Girl’s Quick Guide to Beauty!
Hello, ladies! We are Lawless Glam, a beauty blog created by two young lawyers who believe that beauty is about throwing out the rule book and testing new tricks that make you feel like the best version of yourself! For better or worse, we spend a lot of time at work. Finding makeup that can keep up with us can be a daunting task. Luckily there are a few simple items you can throw in your bag every day to keep you looking fresh all day and handle the transition from day-to-night effortlessly.
For daytime, the two items we recommend are:
- Blush
- Concealer
After a few hours in the office, your face can start to lose some color. Particularly if you spend most of your day sitting in front of the computer or in meetings and pouring over documents like we do! Blush can bring your face back to life and give you back your glow.
Concealer is great for covering the little imperfections that start to poke through as your foundation begins to wear off. For us, the best place for concealer is under the eyes.
Together, blush and concealer can leave you looking and feeling fresh throughout the day.
To transition to night the two items we recommend are:
- Black liquid liner
- Red lipstick.
Going out to socialize right after work shouldn’t involve dragging your whole makeup bag to the office. In fact, you shouldn’t need an extra bag at all- you’re trying to destress after a long day, not carry around extra weight! So a last minute weekday happy hour isn’t the time to worry about shading with multiple eyeshadows or bringing your contouring A-game. We propose a simple cat eye or a bold red lip (or better yet, both!).
A black liquid liner with a super fine tip allows you to quickly add a dark sultry (and precise) cat eye to your look before hitting the town. We love the retro vibe the cat eye brings, and the jet black definitely takes you from a professional to a nighttime look.
If you haven’t noticed the trend on our blog/instagram, we are huge fans of a bold lip. Even though we are advocates of rocking the bold lip during the day, a red lip really works its magic at night. It adds deep color that stands out in dim lighting.
Take note: all four of these products are super tiny, lightweight and easily portable! No need for big palettes cluttering your bag when you are on the move.
