What do you think of yourself?

As you know or don't know I make videos on YouTube about authentic expression, spirituality, personal growth and living a passionate life. One of the toughest things for me has always been getting too caught up in my head and with my past. As people we generally gravitate towards things that make us feel comfortable and that are familiar. We often operate on our past conditioning, experiences and beliefs. However, these may not necessarily be helping us or even serving us, as it pertains to who we are today.

In this video, I share this quote by Eckhart Tolle: "You cannot find yourself by going into the past. You can find yourself by coming into the present". This quote really impacted me as soon as I read it. Often times we go searching for who we were, instead of embodying and being present with who we are. When we understand and know who we are, that unlocks the door for real personal growth to take place. As we question who we are and start being self identified and self approved then we can really tap into our authentic expression. Ask yourself the question, "What do I think of myself?" In order to be who you are you have to first know what you think of yourself, and that is one of the most important questions you will ever ask yourself. Letting go of the past allows us to be present with the now, and here is where the present tense of life can be lived.
