Do you love making sugar cookies, but you do not have enough time to roll, cut, bake, and frost every single cookie? These Lemon Sugar Cookie Bars are baked and frosted in one pan saving you time in the kitchen. This makes them so easy to have done in time for dessert.

Recently I started using a sugar cookie body butter and boy, does it smell amazing!
Let’s just say that’s not the best idea when you are counting calories and trying to stay on track with healthy eating to coat yourself in cookie smelling lotions. Why? Because the smell of the lotion slathered on your body will cause you to want to gnaw your arm off, instead of eating more broccoli.
Ok, maybe that’s a little drastic, but seriously, this Sugar Cookie Body Butter
Want to know what else is pretty amazing?
Being able to make and frost sugar cookies in less than an hour is an amazing thing.
One of these days I will make cut out sugar cookies again. Until I get that urge for cute shapes, I will be making sugar cookie bars in a pan every.single.time. They are so much easier and faster.
As a butter ambassador for Challenge Dairy (yeah, saying that never gets old) I love using butter that is made with 100% real cream in all of my baked goods. I am so glad that they do not treat their cows with any growth hormones. I can feed my growing kiddos this product and not worry about what the extra ingredients are doing to them.
Want to try it out for yourself? You can’t miss the elk packaging in the grocery stores!
These cookie bars are really that easy to make. Mix up the cookie dough. Press it into a greased pan and bake for 15 minutes. Let them cool before spreading the frosting on top and then dig in!!!
Adding lemon to the dough and the frosting was the perfect way to add a little bit of cheery lemon goodness to our treats while spring has decided to stay cloudy and dreary here.
I like to mix sprinkles and sanding sugar on my bars. You can leave them off if you are a sprinkle weirdo like my hubby. He is crazy and brushes off the sprinkles on anything I make. It’s ok…I’m totally used to it by now.
Does it stop me from sprinkling the heck out of treats? Never!!!!
