all things fall

Oh, how I love fall. This time last year was full of unpacking, coordinating contractors, and general move-in mayhem. This year we are settled and it feels so good to sit back and simply enjoy the season. Despite the abruptly cold temperatures, a change of seasons always brings me new inspiration.

Plus, now we have this cute little guy to share it with!

I had to snap a typical fall shoe photo just because I’m obsessed with the colors and my new loafers from J.Crew.

And here I am, proud mama, with my baby…hashtag dog mom.

The house has been feeling extra cozy, too. I was recently introduced to Far & Wide Collective, an organization that partners with talented artisans in post-conflict and emerging economies around the world. They empower artisans in emerging economies by celebrating their craft and connecting them to the international market. How cool is that? Far & Wide Collective is full of beautiful products made by artisans with fascinating stories. Take a look and read more about their story here.

I love this basket in our living room, which was hand-woven in Kenya. It’s a great size and perfect as a catch-all for odds and ends like magazines and blankets.

P.S. Notice our new mid-century credenza? It was a major score.

One of my other favorite parts of fall might just be fall baking. One weekend morning I made fluffy pumpkin pancakes (this recipe) and they were oh so delicious.

I’ve also been obsessed with cooking tools from GIR, like this silicone spatula. Their tools can handle any temperature and we basically use them for everything.

In addition to the basket, we got this gorgeous wood trivet (below) from Far & Wide Collective. Isn’t it unique? Also check out these beautiful hand screen-printed linens from Celina Mancurti. She just came out with a gorgeous new collection; her products add a warmth and whimsy to the table and kitchen.

Here’s a glimpse into our pumpkin pancake breakfast. It’s nice to use our new table, which is in the sun room until Alfie grows out of his dog crate, currently in the kitchen.

Meanwhile, snooze boy was passed out like a baby…

Then the the baking continued with pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (my fave) and the always incredible apple crisp. Good thing we had friends to help us eat all of these sweets.

What have you been enjoying about fall?

If you’re looking to get a head start on holiday shopping, I highly encourage you to take a look at Far & Wide Collective and Celina Mancurti. They would make thoughtful gifts.

Happy November!
