YSL Black Opium

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!
I've found my new signature scent. It's dark, mysterious, sexy & smells absolutely divine! It's Black Opium By Yves Saint Laurent. Fragrance wise, it's made up of everything I love in a perfume. The official line on it's scent goes something like this...
"An addictive gourmand floral with notes of: Black Coffee – for a shot of adrenaline; White Florals – to instantly seduce; and Vanilla – for sweetness and sensuality."
It has top notes of black coffee, mixed with white floral notes & base notes of vanilla which is where it gets it's incredibly sweet scent from. I love vanilla in a fragrance.

It's an eau de parfum, so has quite a lot of staying power. I bought the 50ml size. When the assistant asked me if it was for a gift, I naughtily said yes (a gift from me to me!) & was totally smitten with the gorgeous box & packaging they wrapped my perfume in - I'm such a sucker for nice packaging!
A woman's fragrance is very personal to the wearer - when I was shopping in duty free last month, I very nearly bought Tom Ford Velvet Orchid. I hesitated over this fragrance, although I liked it, something wasn't quite right for me & now I'm so glad I didn't!
Of course it's super difficult to get a fragrance across via a blog...so if you haven't sniffed this gorgeous scent yet, go find & have a spritz!
