Thank you to everyone who took the survey. I received some interesting survey results! I know there were some glitches, I am not sure if it was the survey itself, or operator error on the part of the person who built it (me.), which is entirely possible. I can tell you that next time I would use a different service for the survey.I did not like that one at all.
So thank you all for you patience… And your honest answers!
It was really good for me to see where your interests are at and where I should be focusing.
Here are the results!
on the first question 57 % of you were interested in Home decor/design/decorating.
Then 19% for crafts.
after that it kind of broke us into under 10% for everything else.
Nobody liked the small business stuff at all, and gardening received a small vote too.
That give me a great picture.
On question number 2, where I asked what kind of content you would like to see more of:
I was pleasantly surprised to see that roughly 38% of you wanted to see more art project and techniques, and 15% wanted recipes. I don’t do that many recipes even though I cook a lot, but I can start doing more! And I love that you want more art! Done! And I will for sure keep the Home decor and craft train rolling strong.
And I know,the age thing is touchy, but I appreciate you answering it. It helps me to know how to gear my posts. If I had suddenly found out my main audience was an 18 and under set (ha!) I would have to start throwing out a few LOL’s and ROFL’s into my writing and maybe open my posts with:
Hey you guys, R U ready 2day for some amazing projects 2 cre8???!!! Wood bead and botanical prints are in the houzzz…
I know, I know...I think that’s funny,but my kids and my teenage nieces think I am completely lame. And F.Y.I., I was recently informed that no one calls anyone “sister” any more.
Boo for me. I am not sure what the replacement word is for the 2015 set. I’ll let you know.
And by the way, thank you for putting up with my many grammatical errors and typo’s. Many times I write my posts well after the kids are in bed, like midnight, after a long day of working and I just get too tired to catch them, or I am just not paying attention. And I also know I make some common, stupid mistake sometimes (effect and affect still get me.). There is nothing I love more than when I do a typo on a button that goes on to Pinterest and lives forever on the “Internets” as a representation of how completely illiterate I am. Please don’t ever hesitate to call me out, and thank you to those of you who have. It’s nice to have a s second set of eyes. No offense taken!
Over 86% of you have kids 15 and older. No wonder you totally get me. And I may need advice later, I have found pre-teen hormonal girls are CRAZY.
And to those of you who do have younger kids. It’s coming, oh it’s coming. But I am glad you’re here. Jump in, the water’s fine!
Here’s where the survey really failed. It was supposed to allow you to check multiple boxes, but instead it only yet you check one. Total Fail. We might re-do that one sometime in the near future.

Cottage, vintage, eclectic and traditional were the top responses, which is perfect and right up my alley. I love that eclectic was the top and we all love to mix it up!
And the other good bit of information for me is where you read from and how you read. I totally agree with you about the blog layout right now and the ads. I moved the sidebar to the left in hopes it would help, but I am still not thrilled. I am going to be working with a blog designer in the next few months to do a little revamp again and consolidate my ads somehow to they aren’t as intrusive. I also want to make my layout easier to find stuff too!
Thank you all again for all of your support and reading me and hanging in there with me everyday. I hope I can use the information you’ve given me to make it an even better reading experience!
