How to Survive a Juice Cleanse

Today I want to share with you about the 3 day juice cleanse that I did last week. I've never done something like this before! I love drinking green smoothies and replacing meals with those, but juice is a whole other story. Dani Strong provided me with some of the best tasting juice ever! Really...the flavors are soooo yummy. My favorites are power green, power orange, and the chocolate almond milk. But honestly, they were all good!
I want to make clear that juicing is not for everyone. Make sure you know YOUR body and if it's something you can do. Ask a doctor is necessary. Juicing is not to lose weight. It is to cleanse your body of toxins, that way you can continue eating healthy after the cleanse then start losing weight. Make sense?
This juice cleanse consisted of 6 juices a day. A milk in the morning then every two hours drink another juice then end with another milk. In between each juice drink water. I always had my water with me and it would sometimes help to drink water while I was also drinking my juice. For me water is better with lemon or orange in it :) My flavors were:
1-Vanilla almond milk, classic green, power green, power orange, summer raspberry, chocolate almond milk 2-Cinnamon almond milk, classic green, power green, summer watermelon, power red, chocolate almond milk 3-Strawberry almond milk, power green, classic green, rhubarb bliss, power orange, cookie butter almond milk
I have all of Dani's contact information down below!
So on to my tips on how to survive a juice cleanse (I did a 3 day by the way)
TIP #1-Read up! Research doing a cleanse and different types of juice cleanses. I did. I decided I was going to do this a week before I actually started. I looked up different sites that explained different juice cleanses and what to expect.
TIP #2-Relax your mind! The day before my cleanse started I started getting really nervous, but I had to try and not think about it so much. I was getting so much anxiety over it and I actually did some stress relieving exercises to help me out :)
TIP #3-Tell everyone! Let friends and family know what you are doing. That way they can support you and keep you going through those few days.
TIP #4-Pick days that work with your schedule. I chose days that I wasn't going to be sitting around the house and days that I was busy. I will admit, it was a hassle to carry around what seemed like a 20 lb lunch box full of my juices and ice haha. Don't worry, when everyone is giving you stares for drinking some "green sludge" just think that you are probably getting more veggies in that one drink than they have had all week!
TIP #5-Don't overdo it. If during the cleanse you are feeling light headed or you feel that you are starving, eat something. Eat some carrots, eat a salad, or some fruit? You don't want to get sick!

Give it a try! Start with a 1 day or a 2 day if you feel more comfortable with that. Your body will thank you. Again, make sure you do your research. This was MY review for a cleanse I did. It worked for me, but it may not work for everyone else. If you have any questions feel free to contact me!
