It simply wouldn't be Christmas time here @ChocMission towers without Ritter Sport supplying us with their latest Winter season varieties. The line up for Christmas 2014 features two flavours seen previously in the Burnt Almond and Vanilla Crescents flavours (See HERE), but also this all NEW Ritter Sport Coffee Nuts flavour. Being lovers of nearly all chocolate coffee combinations, especially Ritter's chocolate coffee bars (See HERE), we couldn't wait to try this new flavour. Lucky for us Ritter sent across enough for the whole team to try it.

As with all Ritter Sport limited edition flavours the Ritter Sport Coffee Nuts came in a 100.0g bar that was split into 16 bite size blocks. The packaging this year had a familiarity to last years and featured the usual Ritter Sport branding alongside a very cool looking on pack snowman. Opening the plastic wrapper a plethora of very nice smelling coffee and chocolate let themselves be known. Breaking the blocks apart the filling looked very generously portioned with nut pieces poking out every which way.

It was only right to consume this chocolate alongside a tall caffe latte (or hot chocolate for one or two of the team). Having made our way through so much chocolate during this festive period we weren't probably as excited at trying this as we should have been - as soon as took our first mouthful this all changed. This chocolate was superb, the smoothness of the melt and the taste transition from the sweet creamy outer chocolate to the roasted coffee flavours of the inner filling was amazing. The nut pieces could have detrimental given their size however they weren't detrimental to the smooth melt and they brought a decent amount of woody nut hazelnut flavours to the party. This chocolate was both satisfying and moreish - just how we like it!

Overall we do love ourselves a good Ritter Sport seasonal edition and this Ritter Sport Coffee Nuts has to be up there with the best of them. The combination of the coffee and nut flavour elements bring a unique coffee hinted praline like taste to the fore. The quality of the chocolate is as good as ever and the promised flavour theme is more than delivered on. Coffee chocolate fans will love this chocolate and we highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of these types of chocolate. Have a great Christmas Ritter Sport! Thanks for the great chocolate!
