I feel blessed to live in the United States.

We do not get to pick what country we are going to be born in … well, I guess sometimes our parents can … and if I were to choose where I would live?

The U.S.!

I am fortunate to have the freedoms of my forefathers who fought so bravely to acquire them.

I live in a state where Bald Eagles nest and I can see them along the rivers. Seeing these majestic birds makes me pause in my tracks to watch them.

Before I lived in Minnesota, the only place I saw a Bald Eagle, was in a zoo.

It is not just about parades, fireworks, and eating … On this day, I will pause to give thanks for our country’s independence.
