CHRISTIAN L'ENFANT ROI SPRING SUMMER 2015

One of my fondest discoveries last season in Paris has to be Christian L'enfant Roi, the brainchild of Montreal-based designer Christian Deslauriers. The utilitarian menswear line with a twist catering to the young generation, hence, the name l'enfant roi which literally translates to spoiled brat.
For Spring Summer 2015, Christian L'enfant Roi explores the art of fencing. This collection vividly showcases the prestigious sport's dual sides. Fencing is both elegant and dangerous at the same time. Christian L'enfant Roi reinterprets the traditional fencing uniform by giving it a more modern youthful appeal and sportswear vibe. In general, the ensembles have an elegant flair yet comfortable relaxed fits which I personally love. The neutral tones found in this collection definitely makes it a no-brainer to mix and match pretty much everything from this collection.
The leather double holster bag is hands down my favorite article from this collection. It's a collaboration between Christian L'enfant Roi and Canadian bag designer Woolfell. It has my name written all over it. Other favorites include Christian L'enfant Roi's modern take on fencing jackets, collarless button downs , overalls and mandarin collared blazers. The print on print ensembles look pretty rad too.
Check out some of my favorite looks from Christian L'enfant Roi's latest collection.

Special shout-out to Void Showroom's Esben Leschly Blegvad and Christian L'enfant Roi's Christian Deslauriers for making this feature possible.
