SONGZIO SPRING SUMMER 2015

Songzio’s latest collection was inspired by the configuration and shape of "wood". The show was staged at a spacious contemporary gallery in the Marais. A massive wood installation served as jaw-dropping backdrop for the minimalist collection with a futuristic and sporty vibe.
The collection was primarily in Songzio’s signature monochromatic palette with splashes of seasonal colors such as vivid orange and midnight blue. Majority of the ensembles were oversized and boxy in proportion except for a handful of tailored suits. Songzio incorporated a good amount of eye-catching graphic prints for this collection. Various images of wood in stripe pattern, printed on silk, perfectly embodied the Korean designer's "wood" theme. The most memorable pieces from this collection were the oversized sheer coats, culottes, and the matching top and bottom printed silk organza ensembles. Gladiator mandals in low and high top versions complemented the sleek looks from this collection.
