:: Thoughts on Blogging ::

I first started blogging about 8 years ago now and in that time my personal life has seen many, many changes. Throughout most of those 8 years I have kept a blog, but lately I have been thinking a LOT about why I blog and about why I have not been blogging so much in the last couple of years.

Recently, online identity theft, cyber-bullying, and maintaining some online privacy in my personal life have become big concerns for me. As a result, I decided earlier this year that I would remove all of my old posts from my blog as many of them contained information about my personal life that I was just not comfortable in sharing publicly anymore.

Over the last few months I have given blogging much thought. I was feeling very uncertain about whether or not I should continue with my blog, to be honest. Recently, however, I had an epiphany. I remembered why I blogged and why I used to love it so much. My blog began as a place where I could share my crafting with like-minded souls, like you. I loved that I was able to connect with people the world over who were interested in the same things I was or who were inspired by something I had created, shared, or written here.

Starting today, I have decided to start blogging again...yay! There will be one major difference though...I won't be sharing as many details of my personal life here. I will focus instead on sharing about my many creative pursuits, my creative process, my studio, and about the inspiration behind my creativity. And you know what the best part is? I am more inspired and excited than ever to start blogging again. Life is too short so I am going to take time to enjoy those parts of it that make me happy, like blogging does.

See you again soon :)
