A mix of sheer laziness and trying to be kinder to my skin has led me to many days of no foundation or bb cream – just moisturizer and sunscreen, brows filled, lip color, maybe some blush. But as you can see from the before photo, my skin really needs a bit of a boost to keep me from looking sleep deprived and blotchy. Since summer is no time for full coverage (if you can help it), I go for sheer, dewy skin that looks like skin…only its better self. Follow the step by step tutorial to see how I achieve dewy summer skin, below!

Step 1: Mix a small amount of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in “Moonstone” with your beauty balm and apply with your fingers.

Step 2: Use a damp Beautyblender to further blend everything in and give a flawless finish.

Step 3 and 4: Pat bareMinerals Correcting Concealer under your eyes and around your nose, and on any trouble spots.

Step 5: Tap a small amount of Stila Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush in “Rosewater” on the apples of your cheeks with your ring finger and blend. It has a very sheer finish, so you can build it to your desired color.

Step 6: Apply NARS “413 BLKR” Illuminator to the cheekbones and under the brows.

Step 7: Go over those areas you worked on with the Beautyblender to make sure it is seamless.

Step 8: I can get pretty oily during the summer, so I pat some translucent powder on my t-zone and chin.

Step 9: Set with finishing spray. Done!
