Oz Comic Con Sydney 2014: Cosplay Favourites

By now, you should now my absolute favourite thing at conventions is Cosplay spotting! Here are my absolute favourites from Oz Comic Con held in Sydney for the first time ever.
With a 'general' theme of pop culture, we saw costumes from all genres from video games, cartoons, anime and film... And a lot that I have never seen before!

Best Cartoon Character

The first time EVER I have seen a Simpsons cosplay and this one was a doozy. Milhouse is one of my favourites... something about that blue hair and the smell of desperation.

Best Johnny Depp

My first time spotting Edward Scissorhands, doesn't it just remind you that you need a haircut?

Best Lingerie

Props for these girls being very creative and having the figures to pull off this Batman & Joker cosplay!

Best Duo

Guardians of the Galaxy was THE movie of the year - at least for me! So having the duo of Rocket Raccoon and Groot was obviously going to do well in my books. Extra kudos as a Baby Groot is still not commercially available yet, and this would've been a DIY job!

Best Nakedness

I have wasted plenty of hours, days and weeks on the Sims. For those who have a life, when a Sims gets naked for the shower or snuggle time, their body becomes pixelated... like this

Best 90's Reference

My childhood was filled with watching 90's sitcoms including Full House, Step by Step and of course, Family Matters featuring the delightfully nerdy Steve Urkel. Did I do that?

Best Pirate

Are you ready kids? "Aye Aye Captain"
I Can't hear you "AYE AYE CAPTAIN"

This costume is amazing, it is Patchy the Pirate form the Spongebob Squarepants theme song!
