REVIEW: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil (Face)

Today's beauty review is focusing on Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil for the face. I've been testing it for about 1.5 weeks and wanted to let you know the results I found! To start, here's a little background and description of the product itself:

- This compact tube combines a handful of skin restorative oils, nutrients and vitamins into one product to improve skin imperfections
- Contains cocoa butter, coconut oil, rosehip oil, argan oil, sweet almond oil that smooth out skin's texture and soften the skin
- Contains retinol which helps improve skin discoloration, fine lines, wrinkles and texture
- Contains Vitamin C which is a natural antioxidant that helps brighten the skin and dark spots
- Hypoallergenic, paraben free

My Thoughts:
I had some minor breakouts initially as my skin is acne-prone/oily, however, I did notice that after those initial acne spots faded, my skin tone did appear more evened out and fair which is what I was aiming for. I have some darker spots/discoloration on my face and am already noticing those areas lightened a bit so I can't wait to see the results later on as I continue using the oil! I initially was using it all over my face but due to the early breakouts, I decided it fit better into my skin regime by applying it only to the discolored areas of skin even though it is recommended you apply it all over.
The retinol didn't dry out my skin and the oils actually did not make my skin any oilier which I was relieved to see. A little goes a long way which also makes this product worth investing it because it is inexpensive and will last you a long time! 2-3 drops from the pump are enough to cover my face and neck! The applicator also ensures that the oil isn't exposed to too much bacteria and you aren't touching it directly with your hands ever. This also ensures you don't pour out too much and make a huge mess, and that you only use a little bit of product each time. And it's packed with so many nourishing ingredients for your skin that it's a miracle it's so well-priced! I used it initially twice a day but because my skin gets oily very easily, I had to cut down to using it only once a day, in the evenings before I sleep. It feels lightweight and absorbs quite quickly so you don't need to worry about it transferring to your pillow. Overall I would highly recommend this product if you're looking to repair, protect and show some love to your skin.
