Beaches, Laziness and Back to School

January is coming to an end. What the hell. I literally feel like it was just yesterday when everyone was complaining about the power of new years resolutions. To add on to the complaining, I just want to say that there’s nothing wrong with setting goals for yourself. Obviously, you won’t be a new person overnight but a new year is a great time to strive further. I hope you guys are all going well with any hopes you had for this year. If your not, don’t worry! We still have 11 months!

Books I Read This Month

Thanks to the magical power of the Bout of Books read-a-thon, I managed to finish 5 books this month! This is rather amazing for me and I’m 1 book ahead of my Goodreads challenge schedule. My goal this year is 40 books so at this rate, I should get there without an issue. I haven’t finished Shadow Study but I’m almost there. I’ve also started Red Queen.

Manly Beach

Throughout the end of December and most of January, I was lucky enough to have a break from school. Since I’m in Australia, it was basically Summer holidays. That’s what people in other countries call it as well right? Now to be honest, I really didn’t do much except going shopping or to the movies a few times. However, on the 8th, a couple of friends and I visited Manly Beach and Shelly Beach on the coast. It was so much fun and so I just wanted to share a few pretty photos!

My Extreme Laziness

Despite my reading accomplishments and few adventures, I actually didn’t do much in January. I know I had the whole month off and that’s pretty much everyone’s dream but I really didn’t spend it well. To cut myself some slack, a holiday is a valid excuse to be lazy but I’m just really disappointed that I didn’t get more stuff done. I feel like I could’ve caught up and gotten ahead in so many different aspects in life but instead, I spent my days sleeping and eating. But that’s okay because like I said, we have 11 months left of the year!

Back to School

On the 29th, I had to go back to school. My extreme laziness had completely screwed up my sleeping routine and having to wake up early made me feel so sad. I will miss sleeping in a lot! However, I have some pretty good teachers this year and I’m doing subjects I’m interested in so I’m hoping that this year won’t be so bad.

But unfortunately, with school comes less time. So unless I manage to completely stop being lazy, this might mean less posts, less comments and a longer delay when I’m replying to comments. Of course, I will try my best to keep up but I hope you guys understand that I want to prioritise school when I’m feeling productive.

Posts You May Have Missed

Despite my uneventful month, I’d love to hear about yours! Did you do anything interesting? Vacations? NYE kisses?
