#WorkHappy With HP & Intel

Everyday you will find me writing. Whether it’s blogging for the site, writing for a client or finally continuing my novel. It’s my work, but most importantly my passion too. When writing, I have to be in a good, calm and most of all a happy environment, I am not one of these people who can work from a coffee shop at all. For me there are just too many distractions and pretty much always a useless wifi connection. Therefore when HP & Intel asked me where my happy place to work is, it was an instant decision – at home!

Luckily for me home is my office and I couldn’t think of a better place to work. Weirdly if you saw me I write with either music or the TV on, I just like a little bit of constant background noise, which in turn totally just contradicts what I said about a coffee shop. I guess everyone works completely differently and that’s how I work. I like having all my home comforts around me, so I can grab a cup of my favourite rose & hibiscus tea or maybe pop the washing on at the same time. I surprisingly do not miss the office chatter and find myself getting more done than I ever used to. There’s also no morning commute to work taking up time in my day and getting myself all riled when you have to squeeze on the tube within an inch of your life.

This past week I have been trying out the new HP Stream x360 with Intel Inside®. The HP Stream is a new kind of notebook with a built-in Intel Inside® processor for fast performance. It also includes a free 1 year subscription to Office 365, which is great if you are looking to use the essentials like Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote. Word and Excel are two absolute musts for me, I use Word for writing and Excel for keeping track of my costs or even for my novel planning.

Also included is 1TB of cloud storage on OneDrive which is a massive amount of storage and an easy way if you take lots of pictures to store them. Now I have a new camera the pictures are much bigger and take up way more space, not to mention videos, so this is great for those that need that amount of storage. Plus it’s always good to have a back-up rather than just saving on your laptop.

What I really liked about the notebook is its portability, even though I work from home a lot, when I do go out to meetings, it is light to carry about and also includes a Data Plan so no wi-fi access is not a problem as data is included. The notebook is also so versatile, the screen can fold right back so you can use it just like a tablet with the touch screen, have it upright like a laptop or pretty much any position you want as you can see from the photo above. The touch screen is so handy even when using in more of a laptop position, I guess I get this from using a phone so much!

And surprisingly just so you know, I don’t work in my pyjamas!

The new HP Stream with Intel Inside® is a really great notebook that has everything you need. I think it’s so good that it comes straight out the box with storage and Office 365 as that’s just what you need, it’s also an affordable option at £229.

The HP Stream x360 with Intel Inside® is available from HP online.
