City Living – the Right Furniture

Living in the city can be great – all those parties, pubs, restaurants, shops; there are plenty of things to do outside of your home, but what about your actual living space? Many people who live in the city have small flats or house share with others, and sometimes it can be hard to know how to make the most out of the small space you have. One way to approach decorating your home is by using pieces of furniture that have more than one function, such as sofa beds. A modern double sofa bed will not only give you – or guests – a comfortable place to sleep, but it will also give you extra seats in your living area. If you really want to master the furniture-with-more-than-one-function method, a corner sofa bed with storage will give you space to sit, sleep, and keep all of your clutter out of sight. Utilising the corners in a small room is a great way of making the most of that space. Along the same theme, a small sofa bed will take up less room while still helping you out with overnight guests, and a small sofa in general can add to your existing sitting area without taking over the whole room.
House shares can often get messy – and we’re not just talking belongings, here – but there are several simple ways around this. When sharing a room with someone (whether it be a bedroom or a lounge/living area), a room divider can be a great investment; not only will it separate out the space so there won’t be any confusion, but you can also get a wide range of dividers to suit your style and décor. Another simple solution is to make the most of your space by using wall storage units to keep everything neat and tidy. De-clutter your home, and de-clutter your life.
