Budget Buy: Max Factor’s Better Hourglass Blush Dupe

Generally speaking baked blushes and I get on like a house on fire. The natural finish of them plus the second-skin effect are enough to make any blush hater turn. I’ve raved about the likes of Milani, MAC and Hourglass – the latter being the most raved about by me for having the best combination of highlight and colour, plus the perfect amount of pigmentation that doesn’t apply too much, nor needs too much building up.

Max Factor recently launched new Creme Puff Blush which fall right into this category. With six shades to choose from the lighter more peachy colours are my favourite and as you get darker in the shade range the pigmentation of colour increases, making the more darker shades perfect for darker skins. The lasting power falls slightly short of MAC but keeps up with Hourglass and Milani and the formula is a really smooth, buttery powder. A few of the shades like Lavish Mauve have a slight glitter in them which isn’t too noticeable until it’s on the skin in direct sunlight but all in all, certainly a baked blush to love.
