Exciting Newness From Charlotte Tilbury

Without fail over the past year or so every single time there has been a Charlotte Tilbury launch my ears prick up, eyes widen and mouth starts salivating. Each launch is just as exciting, innovating and drool worthy as the one before so when I got my hands on the X Norman Parkinson collection, an english portrait and fashion photographer around four months ago I had to hold myself back from screaming about it until it was available to purchase.

This 8 piece collection is all about suntan and sunlight and each item has a icon Norman Parkinson image on the front, plus the gorgeous rose gold packing we know and love from Charlotte Tilbury.

The most exciting news for me was the Film Star Bronze & Glow in cream form. I’m a loyal fan of the original so was more than happy to give the cream formula a whirl. Although the formulation of the cream was beautiful – blendable, creamy and long-lasting, without sinking into pores, I still found myself reaching for the powder compact. Perhaps I liked the more oomphy effect the powder gave, or found the faff of applying creams with my fingers too much but it’s certainly a great one if you’re after a more natural look.

Speaking of creams there’s also Colour Of Youth lip & cheek colour, which is essentially a cream blush. It reminds me of a peachier Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush. Not too wet in formulation (which I hate!) and sinks into the skin beautifully with fingers, plus is a dream to apply as it’s hard to overdo it. I adore cream blushes in summer, especially paired with a bit of concealer on bare skin and this shade is utter perfection!

Another glow getting item is the Dreamy Glow Highlighter. This would be one I would suggest to paler, more cool-toned skins. I also find something more golden (like the shade in her Film Star Bronze & Glow) suits me best as it enhances my olive skintone and generally compliments everything better compared to cool-toned highlighters. This highlighter is more pinky in tone with a cool-toned sheen running through it and packs less of a punch than her other highlight, which is why I would suggest it to someone with cool-toned fair skin.

Lastly two shades in the Matte Revolution lipstick, 1975 and Miss Kensington. I can’t rave enough about the Matte Revolution lipsticks (read about them here!) and these two shades are simple perfect. A gorgeous baby pink and a bright coraly red.

In other Charlotte Tilbury news, all darker skinned ladies who have heard me rave on and on about her Film Star Bronze & Glow and had resisted to pick it up – it’s now available in a darker shade! Yes! Try it now and you can thank me later – my cheeks can’t live without it.

Charlotte Tilbury is all available to purchase from her website here!
