New In: Dior’s Spring Makeup Launches 2015

I’ve always been a big fan of Dior makeup, in fact I can’t think of a Dior product that has ever let me down. Fun fact of the day is, I used to religiously stalk my local Dior counter for the day they released the new collections and spend my entire student funds on their latest 5 pan eyeshadow palettes.

Here we have a couple of new releases for spring 2015 and I’m pleased to report they’re all rather exciting…

Part of their Kingdom Of Colours collection comes a host of limited edition goodness, I’ve already fallen head over heels for the Vernis Gel Shine in Glory, a vibrant coral pink and Rouge Dior Baume in a sheer nude colour, Palais. Their DiorShow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow Pots aren’t something I had previously tried but my-oh-my is this a beauty. A sheer wash of colour that has a slight shimmer to it and lasts and lasts on the lids. They’re everything I wished the CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre would be which is probably why I steered away from trying them out sooner.

Lastly the star of the show, the Cheek & Lip Glow. I’ve never been a fan of stains as they usually have a formula that ruins whatever foundation or concealer application has gone on underneath and give you very little blending time so more often than not I’ve been left with uneven blush that I can’t do anything about. This round sponge applicator ensures that the product doesn’t apply as a swipe, which surprisingly makes the world of difference, unlike something like the Benetint brush applicator that leaves a swiped looking stain on the cheeks.

The product itself is easily blendable with fingertips and leaves the most natural flush of subtle colour, something perfect for ‘no makeup makeup’ days. On the lips it does exactly the same but picks up more of a pigment. It’s extremely buildable so if you fancy something heavier than what I’ve applied in the pictures below (one layer) go for it! However it’s not something I would recommend to anyone with spots or acne as it could be a little unhygienic and would probably end up enhancing the look of spots.
