10 travel hacks

Jetting off into the sunset comes into my mind probably a little more often than it should, especially when the weather here in the UK is a bit grim. I hate the idea of getting it all ready, getting lost and then there is the coming home. So here are just a few ideas to hopefully make travelling a little easier on everyone.

1. Pop a dryer sheet into your suitcase to help your clothes smell sweet as a daisy even after a long trip.

2. Roll don’t fold, you can often fit a lot more into your suitcase by rolling up all your clothes instead of the more commonly used folding.

3. Store socks inside of shoes to help save room.

4. Use disposable containers for your bathroom essentials and take just enough for your stay, then you won’t need to cart them back with you.

5. Use a pill box to store jewellery in, it should help it stop getting tangled in transit.

6. Contact lens cases can be great storage for foundation and face creams and means you don’t have to take your whole bottle.

7. If your worried your suitcase might blend into all the rest on the airport carousel tie a brightly colour ribbon around the handle.

8. Take photos on your phone of local phrases and images of things you might need while away so you can communicate with locals.

9. Make sure you have emailed yourself photocopies of your passport and other important documents in case of emergency.

10. Take an empty water bottle through airport security and then fill it up at the water fountain to save a few pennies.

Where ever you are headed off to this year, I hope you have the most wonderful time and please consider popping me in your suitcase.
