Roses for your sweetheart

It’s scary but true that Valentine’s Day is now chomping at our heals and its time to start thinking about just what your loved one might like to receive this year. To start your ideas following the lovely people at Serenata Flowers sent me their “Adore” bunch of roses which features a delightful 6 red and 6 pink roses – just perfect for Valentines.

Did you know each colour of rose has meaning?
Red of course means love but also passion, courage and respect. While pink means happiness, grace and admiration making these two colours of this beautiful flower the perfect Valentines match.

I have to admit I was really impressed with how Serenata Flowers sent this bouquet, when I first saw the large box it arrived in, I was rather worried, but on opening it, I found they had paid great attention to making sure the flowers arrived in perfect condition.

The bunch of roses included a cane through the middle, this helped to tightly wedge the bouquet in place, making sure it didn’t move around while in transit, while the base of the flowers were wrapped in a wet tissue like material, that would easily have kept them sustained for a couple of days.

As well as the flowers the box included rose food and instructions on how to best care for your flowers once they are were out on display, allowing you to hopefully make the most of them.

Serenata Flowers also made this such an easy bunch of roses to sort out, as they had already removed the leaves from the stem most of the way up, so all that needed doing was a slight clip to the base and they were ready to be put on display.

This particular bunch of roses arrived with us just over 7 days ago and so far they are still looking good, in fact I have been impressed by their staying power.

If you are thinking of getting the Adore bouquet for your loved one this Valentines they cost £24.99 (though at the moment are on sale for £19.99) for the regular 12 stem bunch.

What do you think of these roses, or do you have a different flower you would like to receive?
