Valentines gifts for her on a budget + competition
Valentines doesn’t mean you have to break the bank, in fact you can easily treat your loved one on a budget and Direct Cosmetics is a great place to start looking for well-known cosmetic brands without the price they sometimes have attached.

W7 Cosmetics In The Nude – £4.99 (RRP £9.99)
Often seen as a dupe for the more expensive Naked 3 palette this beautiful selection offers 12 different, cream to brown shades of eye shadow. For those who haven’t heard of W7 they offer a great budget range with everything from eye shadows to nail varnishes available.
This palette in particular is great for those who want to put together a more subtle, yet warm smokey eyed look and one of the great things I have found about W7, is while they do have a low price point they still manage to offer pretty good colours, that last well and don’t offer up to much of the dreaded fallout.
Femme de Montblanc by Mont Blanc 30ml – £9.99 (RRP £28.60)
Perfume is a great gift for the one you love as long as you know what they like and if your sweetheart is a fan of Mont Blanc’s Femme de Montblanc then you cannot miss this chance to get it a steal.
This wonderful little number includes top notes of pineapple, bergamot and cardamom; heart notes of jasmine, heliotrope and Turkish rose and base notes of musk, patchouli, raspberry, amber, peach and chocolate.
When it comes to staying power you are looking at somewhere between 4 – 6 hours and all in all Femme de Montblanc offers a warm, sweet fragrance which is floral at its heart, while offering a base of oriental notes.
Ceramide by Elizabeth Arden – £6.99 RRP £21.99
For those who want a different mascara then Elizabeth Arden’s Lash Extending Mascara is well worth a look, while it is available in both black and black/brown, the black does come in at a higher price on Direct Cosmetics (£10.99 as I write this).
The difference from normal mascaras is this one includes a cermide triple complex and added vitamins which helps restore and protect your lashes, which can in the long run, help lead to longer, thicker looking lashes.
While you may be forgiven for thinking that is all this mascara offers, in fact it is proven to not clump, flake or even smudge during use!
