Return Of The Princess

Happy Monday Everyone!

I remembered it was drizzling out there. It was cold and we were sitting in an ICE, moving in the speed of light. I was gazing out of the window, imagining how would this series of pictures turn out to be. When we heard about the beautiful castle in Koblenz, we knew we must make a trip there. It was 147km from where we stayed and it was a good 90 minutes of train ride.

When we finally saw the castle, we are filled with a sense of awe and amazement. It is beautiful. Although it was still drizzling and cold and wet out there, Kelvin still managed to capture beautiful images despite lots of limitations. My beautiful curls were ruined by the cold wind and rain. But it somehow created a natural looking hair (or at least I hope).

I name this series Return Of The Princess because it pretty much sums up how I have been feeling lately. Ever since Isabelle’s born, I have been struggling to adapt to all the changes occurs in my life. And at one point, I completely feel like I am a failed mother fighting a hard battle. I felt like I have lost the power to chasing dreams. As I reflect back on the past one year, my heart is still filled with happiness and gratitude. I am so grateful that I have made it so far and now I am finally back on track. Seeing this castle is like rediscovering my old self and meet an improved version of me. It has been a wonderful feeling, being able to come back and feel better than ever.

I hope these images are able to tell a story about a Princess returning from a faraway land to her own kingdom after experiencing a series of adventurous events.

Thank you so much for reading and I would love to hear about your story too. Do share with me at the column below.

XOXO Eryn ❤
