My first Fashion Trainers

Adidas Originals Stan Smith Leopard via Foot Asylum*

Ask me a few years ago if I’d ever consider wearing trainers then you’d get a big fat hell to the nope. Trainers for me have always been something to be worn exclusively for sport and even then it was a struggle to even find ones I liked then. Fashion Trainers became a thing circa 2014 and show no signs of leaving the fash pack any time soon. In the spirit of at least trying to embrace a trend I got heavily into Skate shoes - Although that’s debatable if that came with the fact I’ve basically reverted back to the 2005 emo version of myself. Checkerboard Vans forevz.
I’d tweeted about these particular Stan Smith trainers and the guys at Foot Asylum noticed my tweet and offered them to me. I was a few clicks away from purchasing them myself but I thought, what the hell. So I accepted in the hopes to try something new.
I haven’t regretted it one bit - These bad boys have barely left my feet. Super comfy, easy to wear and slipped right into my everyday dressing without fault. The leopard print brings out my secret scene kid without being over bearing and the black with white sole is chic and minimal. Paired with a pair of Jamie Jeans, a vest top and a longline duster it's a outfit made in sartorial laziness heaven.
I'll feature them in a proper outfit post soon but damn - I had to rave. I never got trainers as an actual fashion item but now I think I get it. Stylish and comfy. What more could a girl want?
