#thriftythursday : Rule Breaking

My favorite thrift shop in my college town is the Salvation Army. The employees are sweet, the prices are amazingly low, and I never have any thrifting competition. In short, this store is the bomb (does anyone say this anymore?) which is why I feel super guilty when I break the "rules". If you've shopped at the Salvation Army then you know the exact rules I'm talking about and you've probably broken them too. But now you can rest easy knowing that you're not alone!

The rules (and how I break them):
#1. Only 5 items in the dressing room I tried you guys, I really tried to keep my numbers low the last time I went thrifting and I ended up trying on almost 50 items. I kid you not, I spent over an hour trying on each and every garment. With each knock on my dressing room door my heart sunk lower and lower. I was so embarrassed when I emerged with a giant mountain of clothing in my arms, but it was worth it because I scored big time! Although I'm terrible with the 5 item limit I make sure to rehang everything and place it neatly on the return rack. Nothing is more obnoxious than leaving a mess!
#2. No tag no purchase At the Salvation Army if a price tag falls off you can't purchase the item that day until it gets retagged. However I don't let that little sign stop me and I still try my luck. Usually the cashiers know their stuff and can properly price it right then and there.
What thrift store rules, either spoken or unspoken, do you break? Have you broken the ones above? Let me know in the comments!
