A Fork In the Beauty Blogging Road

Whoa. Talk about an extended blogging hiatus.

I’ve been in the midst of a job change, along with an always busy family life. I’ve also been taking time to think about blogging and about the direction of LipstickRules in the future. I’ve come to a fork in the road with blogging — one path is an end to blogging, and the other path is a longer, different road.

I have chosen the longer, different road. I’m up for the challenge.

Having done this for five years and counting, I feel a need to shift gears and try to inject some new life into the blog, and re-energize my passion for it. In the last little while I lost my blogging mojo, preferring to be more of an observer than a participant. I often felt I couldn’t keep up with other bloggers who were writing great pieces of content on a daily basis. I finally lost steam after years of trying to juggle it all.

But after taking a step back, I realized I don’t need to keep up. I can go at my own pace.

I’ve started brainstorming new ideas on direction, and I’m excited again.

So here I am. I hope that you’ll continue to join me on my journey.
