Notable New Releases: March 2015

According to the calendar, we’re one step closer to spring here in the northern hemisphere. (I’ll believe it when I see it.) In the meantime, March is bringing us some intriguing new books. There are lots of new literary novels, including Hanya Yanagihara’s second novel (A Little Life) and work from Kazou Ishiguro (The Buried Giant) and Michele Young-Stone (Above Us Only Sky). There’s also historical fiction from Jennifer Chiaverini (Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule), Sara Gruen (At the Water’s Edge), and Jan Moran (Scent of Triumph), among others. In YA, there’s been much buzz around David Arnold’s Mosquitoland (pun just a really bad, happy accident) and Tommy Wallach’s We All Looked Up. Meanwhile in romance there are new historicals from Donna Thorland (Mistress Firebrand) and Eloisa James (Four Nights with the Duke). Additionally, Rhys Bowen has a new Molly Murphy mystery (The Edge of Dreams) and there’s also new work from M.J. Rose (The Witch of Painted Sorrows), Debbie Macomber (Last One Home), Joanne DeMaio (The Denim Blue Sea), Erik Larson (Dead Wake), and Gretchen Rubin (Better Than Before), among many others. Happy reading!

Notable New Releases is a monthly series highlighting a hand-picked selection of new books in American publishing. My goal is to provide a place for readers to get a glimpse at some of the new titles available, to keep up with their most anticipated books of the year and hopefully find a new read (or two or three) along the way. Notable New Releases is a one-woman show and publication dates are always subject to change. If there’s a book coming out in future months that you’d like to see included in the series, recommendations are always welcome!
