The Hair Situation
As probably a lot of you have seen already, I cutted my hair really short, about 2 weeks ago.
Now people wonder, how did I get there? Why would I cut my long, beautiful hair, that I’ve had long all my life, and go super short? Well here’s the story…
It started about then years ago, with this
Agyness Deyn for Jean Paul Gaultier. I believe that’s how I discovered Agyness, and I directly fell in love with her hair (and her style, later on). I thought the haircut was just fucking amazing, and wished for many years to have the same… but always thought it wouldn’t look good on me. However, I always had it somewhere in my mind, never forgot about it.
Then, lately, a few « celebrities » started to have the same haircut, people with different shapes of faces (I always thought I didn’t have a good shape for short hair…go figure!)
There was Miley of course
But then, there was also Garance Doré, which was a big shock. She’s always had long hair too, and her hair are super curly, just like me, and she had the guts to do it anyway!
And I thought it looked amazing on her.
The following step is that I met Alain Spaens, who owns the hairsalon by Joseph, a few months ago. And we started talking about doing a collaboration. I didn’t want to change my color, but for once, I was ready to change my haircut.
When I first asked him what he thought, he said « super short »! At first I was scared and said no. It was such a big change! But with time the idea grew in my mind, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Since I know that he’s really talented, if I had to do it at some point in my life, it had to be with him! So I went for it! We first had a little meeting at his salon to talk about it, the place is just super cosy…
And then, the day after…. IT HAPPENED!
And then… VOILA!
I have to say I couldn’t be happier with the result! It’s exactly what I wanted, and it stays really me. People seem to really like it too, since I’ve got so many compliments.
So if you’re in need for a change, I would deeply advise you to pay a visit to my friend Alain at his hairsalon, his hands are magical!
