{LUXX Life} Purchases

I haven't shown a haul post on the blog for a long time and have bought enough to make it a good one!

For the last four to five months of 2014 I bought nothing which is a miracle in itself but as we had two big holidays planned I saved my money for those and had a bit of a spree in Miami, I’ve also made a couple of purchases this year.

I’ve been really strict with myself and have only bought things that I knew I’d get lots of wear out of and as you'll see below everything falls into a very neutral colour pallete.

Acne scarf in bottle green wool. I wear a scarf every day and my black pashmina is the only one getting a look in. It's thick, soft and toasty warm. Awesome black patent snakeskin Nike trainers, they elevate any basic outfit, one of my favourite buys.

This khaki shirt from Madewell was a sale buy and is lovely quality, I love the brown detail buttons and curved hem. Basic ripped jeans blue jeans, great value and very flattering.

A black and white striped umbrella from Madewell. This is a much needed upgrade, my previous umbrella was barely useable, it has one of those buttons that automatically opens the umbrella, its the small things right? Plain black fine ribbed poloneck a recent buy and such a great basic.

Citizens of Humanity sweatshirt in an extra soft material with raw edging at the seams perfect for spring. Isabel Marant Knowles boots, a bit of an upgrade to my Uggs which I can’t live without in winter. I may not get much more use from them this year but will tuck them away for Autumn. I can vouch they are as warm and comfortable (although not as light) and give you about 2-3 inches extra height which can only be a good thing!

A thick quilted grey sweater from AllSaints, this was a very last minute grab and try on before hitting the till, it happened to fit really well and is a nice textured material. All Saints black leather pointed Chelsea boots – see this post for more photos and some great alternatives.

Gym gear, a new vest and thermal zip top for before and after workouts. The Nike fitness range is probably my favourite. Although I didn’t find any major scores in the Nike outlet this time, these buys were an awfully lot cheaper than here in the UK. These sneakers are ace, black and white zig zag design with silver ticks. I have another pair in a different colour and they are just as comfortable.

Beautiful new pointed flats in pale grey snakeskin by Vince and perfect for spring, Similar here and here. Can’t wait to wear these. Blanche perfume by Byredo, this scent was love at first spritz. It reminded me a little of Tom Ford White Suede so if you love that, the chances are this is a winner for you too.

That's a wrap, i'll probably pick up a few pieces for spring/summer but will wait until the rest of the winter gear has left the shelves.
