Casual Friday + Moments of the Week

MOMENTS OF THE WEEK:

Christmas Moment!

My brother came to spend Christmas with us here in Las Vegas! I am blessed to have the best brother on earth, so for Cooper and I to spend time with him this holiday was all the gift I needed

But my brother thinks it’s his job to spoil Cooper…so after all of the presents were unwrapped we took Cooper upstairs and wheeled out the gift my brother had shipped earlier in the week. To say that Cooper’s eyes were the size of saucers as he walked down the stairs to see THIS THING would be an understatement…

He wanted to take it outside for a spin in his Christmas jammies. And yes, Cooper doesn’t even turn 2 years old until the end of January and the starting age for this thing is 3 years old. My brother said “Well…2 is almost 3 years old. Plus he IS 96%ile in height!”

Oh my…

DB Moment of the Week

I was standing in line at Starbucks this week and I had to listen to these two clowns talk. I normally don’t eavesdrop (wait…okay, that’s a lie. I do.) and I listened as the following conversation took place:

DB1: “Dude…how tall are you?”

DB2: “Around 5’7″. Why?”

Okay. So BOTH of these guys were maaaaaybe 5’5″ on a good day. I was towering over them.

DB1: “Do you ever find that tall chicks dig you?”

DB2: “Totally bro!!!! Like this one chick blahblahblah” he goes onto to tell a nasty story about him being naked with a tall woman.

DB1: “Dude, it works out. Our faces are right there all up in their tits.”

DB2: “Totally.”

They were swearing up a storm this entire time and then they finally get to the front of the line and order 2 venti ice waters. That’s it.

Then as Cooper and I walk back to the car these guys are sitting in their little Honda dumping garbage (Monster energy drink cans, empty bags of chips, and other food packaging that winners consume) out of the doors and scattered all around the ground by their tires. And I just couldn’t handle it. I needed to do something.

So did I act like a mature adult and say something witty condescending? Nope. I acted like any other mom who hasn’t had her coffee yet and is carrying both her venti blonde roast coffee and her 35 lb. toddler. The second DB1 looked up at me I just couldn’t hold back. I stuck my tongue out at him.

Proud Dad Moment

This photo was taken immediately after Cooper had his first chip-in! It was a 30-foot beauty (for a 23 month old!) and of course Daddy was so proud.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas…thank you so much for reading!!
