Hello, Autumn!

Hi Roadies, it's me, Jody sharing a couple of cards that show off the adorable resin deer. The Oh Deer card kit inspired these, and so I pulled out a mix of papers and embellishments and created a couple of cards just to say hello. Hello cards are some of my favorite cards to make, because they allow you to use whatever you like or have on hand, and yet they are perfect for sending any day of the year! These are both very different, but are both cute and simple ways to say "hi".

There is something so fresh and sweet about a pink doe, and this card uses some fun Maya Road elements including some crochet trim stapled in place as a tiny banner, a vintage wooden heart button, heart pennant clip, some naked chipboard alphabet letters, the mini ruler, a bit of aqua twine and the pink deer.

Some simple layering and pop-dots were all that was needed in addition to the stapled banner to finish this card. I always love to play with colors and patterns and you can see I did that on this card with polka dots, neon yellow felt, and a mix of papers and embellishments. This card is ready to send and brighten somebody's day!

This next card is definitely a fun card to send for fall. I painted the deer with a bit of olive green paint so that it would "blend in" to the little paper forest of trees.

A few extra Maya Road bits added to the charm of this, they include the deer, the wooden frame, the mini chalkboard clip and some more naked chipboard alphas. Whatever your crafting projects are this fall, you are sure to find some Maya Road products to spice them up! Happy crafting, everyone!
