My mom was recently walking in Bsous on a hot afternoon when she surprised two happily enlaced snakes having sex in the sun! I would have screamed and run away vertically, but she just threw a stone next to them to distract them, and kept walking. My mom is very brave, she grew up surrounded by nature in a small village, where I made short acquaintances myself with some goats and donkeys. But only in Germany did I learn the value of animals as “emotional” friends, as our related creatures. Today, living in Beirut with no nature or animals, I’d really like to have a dog or a cat. Have a look at some pets from Lebanon.
